Family, Children and Youth Literacy Programs
Family Support Group is a weekly drop-in group for parents with children ages 0 - 6 to come together to access information, support and community resources.
Mobile Librarian is a bi-weekly satellite library from the Salmo Library set up at the Ymir Hall. It provides books for parents, caregivers and children.
Mother Goose is a program for parents with babies and toddlers that encourages early language development through rhymes, songs, finger-plays and stories.
Adult Literacy Programs
Adult Tutoring Program pairs trained volunteers with English speaking or English as a Second Language adults wishing to improve their reading, writing, speaking, listening, math and/or technology skills.
Books Everywhere places boxes full of wonderful books for all ages in 14 locations around town. Books can be read at the location or taken home. When you're done with a book, pass it to a friend or put it back in the “Books Everywhere!” box.
Community Learning Place is a drop-in program at the Salmo Public Library that provides adults with assistance in basic computers, reading and writing, math, English language, test preparation, forms and skills upgrading.
iPad Classes are for adults to learn basic iPad use and explore iPad applications.
