Books for Babies
  – a canvas bag with baby’s book, t-shirt that says “Read to Me” and community information regarding programs for parenting and for children is given to families with newborns through the public health unit.
Books and Brunch
    – a collaboration with Salmo Community Services,   the Salmo Public Library and Salmo Literacy. The main objective is   to instil the importance of reading aloud to children to parents. Activities   are arranged to facilitate this learning, brunch is provided and a   book is taken home at the end of the day.
Seniors Computer Classes
    – The main objective is to make navigating the computer   both manageable and fun. Emphasis will be on creating a safe atmosphere   to explore the computer and internet.
Love 2 Learn
    –  an interactive group for children ages 2-5 and   their parents. Emphasis will be on educational based playtime, stories   and crafts.
Homework Club
    – an afterschool program designed to assist children   with tackling their homework and/or projects that they may have. A   snack and craft is available after school work is addressed.
Family Fun Night
    –  3 evenings a year, parents and children ages 5-12   come to the library in the evening with their pyjamas. We have a sleepover   styled fun night where we read books, write stories and enjoy a craft.
