A Book Under Every Tree
 –  gathers books during November and early December for distribution to families receiving hampers at Christmas.
Adult Tutoring Program
 –  offers one-on-one and group instruction for adults wishing to improve their reading, writing, math and/or computer literacy skills.
Babbling Babies
 –  combines Books for Babies with twice yearly get-togethers at the public library for families with new babies. Events are followed by a Mother Goose program.
Books for Babies
 –  brings a canvas bag with baby’s book and community information regarding programs for parenting and for children to families with newborns through the public health unit.
Discovering Loss
 –  offers children and their families an opportunity to explore loss, be it through a move, divorce, or the death of a pet or loved one.
English as a Second Language
 –  offers individuals seeking to improve their English, including reading, writing and speaking, one-on-one or group-based instruction.
ESL Family Drop-in
 –  is a fun family drop-in program for parents/caregivers and preschool children with English as a Second Language that supports language development and parenting skills.
Endless Adventures
 –  is an after school program for kids in grades 3-5 to enjoy books, computer time, art, gym time and a healthy snack.
Family Night Out
 –  is a program where parents and children gather to be involved in activities that promote literacy skills. Parents explore with their children and take home activities and information that foster parenting and learning.
Girl’s Night Out
 –  is a unique after school program for girls in grades 5-7 to be creative, meet other girls, explore books, music, art, journal design, crafts, cooking and have fun.
Love 2 Learn
 –  is a program designed for preschoolers aged two to five which includes parents and preschoolers exploring and learning together, a structured story time, discussion with parents about “The Early Years” brain research and the importance of the preschool years on a child’s brain development, and how to make simple materials and household items into “learning toys,” craft activities, and book lending.
Mother Goose
 –  is a program for babies and toddlers that encourages early language development. Rhymes, songs, finger-plays and stories are taught to parents and children over a period of several weeks.
One to One
 –  trains community volunteers to read with children in school. Children in the program read with a volunteer four times a week for half an hour.
Parents as Literacy Supporters
 –  is an opportunity for parents to join their children at kindergarten to take part in activities and learn strategies to support children's language, literacy and numeracy development.
Roots of Empathy
 –  is a parenting program for children delivered in school classrooms. A baby is introduced in each class and visits throughout the year. The children participate in a curriculum to identify the developmental traits of the baby, discuss various aspects of child-raising, and explore their own emotions as they observe the baby.
Scrabble Club
 –  gathers all levels and ages of Scrabblers for a fun evening of word play at the library.
Senior’s Computer Classes
 –  offers seniors an opportunity to improve their computer skills, including word processing, file management, formatting text, creating tables, email and using the internet.
Stress Free Reading at Home
 –  is a parent workshop designed to share ideas, materials and stories with parents, to help parents lessen the stress and increase the enjoyment of reading at home with their children, and to answer questions and concerns parents may have about supporting their children’s reading.
Tools for the Trades
 –  construction union members improve their report writing, test taking and computer skills
