Books for Babies - provides a book bag to parents with new babies containing books, information about the importance of reading to children from a very young age, and community information regarding programs and services for parents and children. The book bags are distributed to families with newborns by the Public Health nurses. In partnership with the Public Library and Public Health nurses
A Book Under Every Tree - books are gathered during November and early December for distribution to youth and adults at Christmas time. This is done in partnership with the Food Bank and the Valemount Senior School.
Play and Learn - Parents and young children attend together to participate in early childhood activities, storytelling, crafts, games, rhymes, parenting skills.
Scrabble Tournaments - Family event held at the local high school to create excitement about words and learning.
Volunteers in School - community volunteers trained to read with children in school.
